Problem

Ally Invest's robo-advisor product needed a dedicated mobile experience for managed portfolio customers — users with different needs and risk tolerances than self-directed traders.

Solution

Designed a calm, trustworthy mobile experience — snapshot/dashboard views, multi-state landing experiences, and seamless integration with Ally banking features. The design had to make automated investing feel effortless in a space that typically feels intimidating.

Role

UX Architect leading mobile UX and IA for Managed Portfolios. Defined feature set, designed flows, produced screen-level designs for the mobile app as part of the broader Ally Invest authenticated ecosystem integration.
